After much hesitation about buying a bass without playing it first Sire V-3 4string 2nd generation this bass exceeds all expectations. The neck is just amazing with a satin finish and those rolled edges on the fretboard very smooth. Sounds great in both active or passive mode a blessing was thinking to go for some other brand but budget did not allow. What is surprising is it has the same preamp as their top-shelf models. Go for it
